I am an equity partner with Maris, West & Baker Advertising specializing in brand planning and development. I’ve been working in advertising/marketing for over 15 years, and have been fortunate enough to garner a significant amount of experience and expertise across many diverse and interesting types of causes, products, and services. This includes campaigns for cause marketing, economic development, youth outreach, technology, energy production, and digital/new media marketing.
In addition to the job that pays the bills, I am also the founder and manager of the Fast Forward Mississippi Initiative dedicated to stopping/reversing the loss of intellectual capital in Mississippi and building Mississippi’s knowledge workforce, and a director of it’s signature project, Kids Code Mississippi. I also founded the Public Health Marketing Group, a virtual peer network for sharing best practices in the area of public health marketing.
I am currently the chief curator of the Mississippi Economies Project, and am extremely proud to be a co-organizer of TEDxJackson.
I dabble a bit in public speaking, typically on the subjects of economic development, knowledge workforce development, public health communications, or digital branding. I am proud to have given a talk at TEDxAntioch and TEDxWindham.
Please contact me via the Maris, West & Baker website if you have any questions or would like to connect.
